As I write this on April 11, 2020, we are nearing the peak of Covid-19 according to the CDC and other authorities. Hopefully, they are correct. On the writing front, time is my biggest enemy. Working a forty-hour week along with finally changing from a very outdated web-host to a fresh one is a challenge. My work is related to a field that is considered essential, so Covid-19 has not kept me from working. I look forward to retirement in the next few years, and the luxury of much need time.
If you work and are trying to write, how do you do it? Another question is do you outline? I do, but mine is what you might call a general outline as opposed to a detailed one. I like to have a general outline of chapters where I know what’s suppose to happen and when. When I began ‘dabbling’ with writing many years ago, I took the same approach and let the characters and story dictate a lot of the small things as the book progressed. For now, I wish you happy writing, and be safe.
