Easter Sunday

easter-eggs

This is a very unusual Easter Sunday since we’re all dealing with the corona-virus. Hopefully, everyone is following the guidelines as much as possible and staying safe. My wife and I got out yesterday and did our two week’s worth of grocery shopping. This two-week plan limits our exposure and sets up a pleasant stay at home Saturday next week!

Easter Sunday The Way It Should Be

Easter as I’ve always known it is usually spent with family, going to church, and hunting Easter eggs for the little ones. With the social distancing guidelines, maybe having the kids in the backyard for an egg hunt was doable, but gathering as a family, especially with members at an advanced age would best be avoided since any of us may be carrying this virus and not know about it. I would hate to think that a beloved family member caught this (from me possibly) and died. I look forward to the day when this virus has run its course and life gets back to normal.

I’m still working on my outline and spending some time getting this new site a little more populated with material. I’m also at the point of wanting to read a new book. If you look at my ‘want to read’ list on Goodreads, you can see why it’s always a chore deciding. I know this is putting the cart before the horse, but I’m already thinking about publishing options when my book is ready. That’ll be another post later.

I just did a mini review of my favorite writing software, Scrivener. I can’t say enough good things about it, and recommend it to anyone doing any kind of writing. They have a Windows version as well as a Mac version. There was a time when the Mac version was far superior, but as a user of both, I can say the Windows version has ‘caught up’ and is on par with the mac version. They offer a free trial, so there’s nothing to lose.
