In the midst of these strange days and trying times as the world is dealing with Covid-19, I sit here writing my first blog on my new website. As a baby boomer born in the fifties, I have never seen the world in such a state. One would imagine the Cuban missile crisis caused a lot of worry and concern, but with people dying, this is quite different. I can only hope that all my writer friends and their families are doing well.
I consider myself lucky that the company I work for is in the energy (Oil & Gas) sector and is considered “essential”. We are working as usual and continue to get paychecks. But for those who have been laid off and have no savings to fall back on, I certainly feel for you in these very strange days.
